December started cold and snowy

Looking across at Steeple from the flank of White Pike you can see where the upper forest has been clear felled next to High Beck. The forestry say this is going to be one of the last areas along with Bowness Knot to be clear felled in Ennerdale as part of the wildennerdale rewilding project.
